About the Art(ist)
A watercolor and embroidery piece of the artist’s cat, Mazikeen
Whit Kelley started off selling their prints exclusively at local Vancouver markets.
Their artwork is inspired by their love on animals and reverence for the cycle of life and death.
The Cat🐈Holic Saints (said with a definite pause between Cat and Holic) began as a way for Whit to memorialize and immortalize their own beloved cats who had died. Soon, they began to immortalize other animals in the same way in an effort to bring comfort to their devoted guardians and remind us all that we are always connected by love.
“I paint flowers so they will not die.”
